Using ELIDE

ELIDE lets you make blackout poems from texts, and share them. By using it you agree not to post unlawful content, content that harasses or targets anyone, or someone else's private information.

Your poems

You keep the rights to what you make. By publishing a poem you let ELIDE display it publicly on the site and in previews. Poems that trip our age screen are hidden behind a confirmation and left out of listings.

Source texts

Source texts come from Project Gutenberg and other public-domain sources, and are used under their terms. Texts you upload stay link-only and are not listed publicly.

Removal

We may remove any poem, and we will remove one you ask us to remove, using its share code.

No warranty, limits

ELIDE is provided as is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of the site. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law.
